Ensembles Inspired by Phantom of the Opera

This 2004 film adaptation stars Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler, and is based on the Andrew Lloyd Webber stage show (in turn based on the novel by Gaston Leroux). The beautiful costumes, which were inspired by the Victorian period, were designed by Alexandra Byrne (and loosely based on the original stage designs by Maria Bjornson). Don't be afraid to ask me about ensembles from this film, and from the stage version, that aren't listed here; I love doing custom projects!

My Version

My Version

I do both the film and stage version of this dressing gown. Dressing Gown is made of a sheer, almost gauze-type fabric - like voile - and is embellished with lace ruffles at the neckline and front opening. Sleeves are slightly bell-shaped and also trimmed with ruffles. Corset is a typical Victorian over bust style. Skirt is made of a white domestic Chantilly lace. Whole ensemble is accented with tiny Swarovski crystals throughout.
